As I entered data in a marathon training plan generator, it asked me what my finish time was on my most recent race and it really made me think... what WAS my most recent race? So I started working backwards thought my races:
- I didnt get to run the White Rock Relay due to lack of communication and organization.
- I didnt run the San Antonio Rock 'n Roll this year - probably out of sheer laziness.
- I didnt run the Dallas Turkey Trot because last year was so ridiculously packed. Though, mom and I did do our own Turkey Trot, but it wasnt one that we timed, or that I would want to use as a time!
- I dropped out of the Big D. Lame, I know.
- Austin Marathon ... REALLY?! FEBRUARY? That long ago?!
You are supposed to take your the time you run in a half, double it and add about 10-20 minutes to come up with your marathon time. 2:46 + 2:46 + :20 = LAME! 5:32 did I add that right? I would really like to finish it in under 5:00 and would be great to finish around 4:00. Hopefully I'll recalculate that time better with the Dallas Rock 'N Roll half I am running in March. I mean really, I have to beat Oprah (4:29)!
But most of all, I am just aiming to finish!
