For the broken-hearted

I have just endured one of the hardest things I have ever had to do in my life... break off a deep relationship with the one I love. It was so hard to do because I didn't want to do it - but I knew that the Lord was leading me to it. My heart is heavy with the burden of breaking another heart, but it is wonderfully odd to feel the peace of the Lord in this decision. While I will miss John terribly and still love him, I know that we are not to be together. If the Lord wills, we will come back together in the future.

The last week has been very hard, and other than keeping busy, the greatest things that have helped me get through this (not that I am all the way through it) has been peace from the Lord and his great promises to me (Zeph. 3:17, Job 11: 13-20, Isaiah 40: 3-5, Psalm 43:4 - Can you tell I have been listening to the Glory Revealed CD?! but it's so great cause it is the Bible!). Another great support have been the prayers and support of so many people - friends - from PPBC and from Grace Church, and family.

Thank you for your support and prayers. I am overly grateful for them, I sincerely ask that you also (or even more-so) direct your prayers to John and his heart. I know that this has not been easy for him - especially since it came as such a surprise. I feel horribly for all the pain I have caused, but I know that God's glory will be revealed. Please pray that the Lord would bring the same Peace to John as he has to me. That John would experience healing and understanding, that he would be guided with God's light and truth through this.

Doritos Lottery

Whoever gets these will win the Jackpot - we tried but it told us to choose something else! How Rude. We want the Doritos!!
We tried lifting and shaking - but nothing worked.
We even got Kevin to try - but he just looks like he is trying to decide what to pick next.
... or maybe he's contemplating his next move.
