On Wednesday night, Melanie and I had just passed the Pioneer Esters intersection, then 10 minutes later, we were headed back towards the intersection. We noticed the cop cars, and as we pulled up to the light, forced into the left turn lane, we saw a horrific car wreck. We couldn't really tell how it happened, but we could see very close that it was tragic. As we passed by, we saw the lifeless bodies on the ground and near the car. Thankfully we didn't see thier faces that night, but as we read the new stories, and found out about them, it just makes it worse.
We will never forget that night and the images will forever remain with us. We continue to pray for the family and friends that lost thier loved ones, all those that witnessed the accident and the aftermath, and the driver/passenger of the other car.
Here is the story of what happened: http://cbs11tv.com/local/seizure.crash.Irving.2.686458.html
I am glad to know, to find some sort of closer for myself, but it makes is just that much harder to read about it and see it again.

The Half Marathon is almost here!
Well, for those of you who know, and those of you who don't, I have a severe tendinitis issue that is keeping me from running the Half Marathon next weekend. I am still participating and will be walking it, but I am sad I can't run it with Rachael. I'll just have to train for another one later this year (maybe the Rock n Roll in San Antonio in November).
I have been training with the Team in Training group on Saturday mornings and came across the below video that expresses EXACTLY how I feel after our long mile days - and how I will look after the Half Marathon next week. Enjoy! (and please don't laugh at me when I actually look like this!)
