Kitchen Remodel - Phase 1: Finished Floor

The floor with the desk didn't stain like the rest of the floor because it was a different concrete (it used to be a porch). But it looks way better than the old tile!

Day 3 of Kitchen Remodel

Day 3 - cleaning the floor of the thinset/mastic with 2 hammer drills and a cup grinder. The cupgrinder had a vacuum attached, but the bag sprung a leak and filled the kitchen with dust. You couldnt even see 3 feet in front of you! Here are some pictures as the dust faded - and you can see where it was sucked out the window by the fan ... guess I'll have to wash the screens too! (and ignore my ghetto porch. I'll clean if off somedday.)

Kitchen Remodel - Phase 1 (unfinished)

So here are some pictures from removing the tile this weekend. I still have to remove all the leftover thinset and mastic (yes, both) from the floor and clean it up.
